Keswick Mountain Festival 2019

I’ve been photographing the Keswick Mountain Festival since around 2011. Back then it was very much a small, grass-roots affair. It’s grown steadily over the years, but still has a heart. From pretty humble beginnings, it’s become a solid fixture in the Lake District calendar, a weekend with something to offer the whole family.

I don’t post photos from the festival every year, but thought it was worth sharing some from 2019. This year saw a new team take on the festival, and it was great to see how they approached an event that feels a bit like an old friend. I’ve no doubt there are many more years to follow!

I was tasked with taking photographs around the main festival site, so thought I’d share a few images from there. There’s everything from come-and-try sporting sessions, lectures, a market and main stage with one of the finest backdrops of any festival I’ve ever visited.
