Buachaille Etive Mòr is one of the most photographed mountains in Scotland. Those that are willing to climb the rather less exciting hill across the road are treated to a unique perspective of this old favourite. I awoke well before sunrise on this morning to find the van shrouded in mist. Climbing Beinn a' Chrùlaiste quickly put me above the top of it, and into a fine position to enjoy sunrise over a perfect temperature inversion which flooded the whole of Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe. Mornings like this are few and far between, but are exactly why we love getting out in the hills.

All the photographs on display at the Drygate were taken while writing the Photographing Scotland guidebook. For more information on the book, click here.
